Check-in and Boarding

Security

For security reasons, it is strictly forbidden to carry the following items on board in your hand luggage: toy weapons, slingshots, cutlery, knives with blades of any length, plastic knives, razor blades, work tools, darts, scissors, syringes, sewing needles, sticks for sports use, billiard cues etc. Furthermore, it is on discretion of the staff security to forbid anything which might be considered a dangerous object or that could represent a danger to flight safety.

Check-in

The check-in procedure usually opens 2 hours before the flight’s departure, but, in some special, this limit can be anticipated.

 It is recommended to arrive at the Check-in desk:

•  At least 1 hour in advance for National Flights
•  At least 2 hours in advance for International Flights
•  At least 1 hour in advance for Special needs (stretchers, blind, people with disabilities and any eventual minors accompanion)

At check-in desk, passengers receive their boarding card, that shows the time expected for the boarding. The gate will be displayed on the monitor 45 minutes before departure. The time limit for the check-in is 35 minutes before departure. However it depends on the airlines company regulation, it is always recommended to ask them for doubts or explanations.

Boarding

Boarding takes place about 30 minutes before departure.
Once check-in has been completed, passengers should be in the departures area at least 15 minutes prior to boarding time.

Boarding cards are required for boarding and should be kept within easy reach together with any necessary personal identification. At the gate, the boarding cards are collected by the ground staff and the passenger maintains the stub indicating his or her assigned seat on the flight.

Luggage claim

Stowed luggage has to be collected at the baggage belts located in the Air Side. Above each conveyor belt there is a monitor showing the flight and the destination of origin of the baggage.
At departure, passengers are asked to label their luggage with their first name and surname and to ensure that the receipt of checked baggage is attached to the ticket at the time of check-in, which will be used to identify the baggage on arrival.
In the event of lost baggage, the Lost & Found office will take care of the research and assistance needed to alleviate the discomfort. It is therefore important that the report of lost or damaged baggage is made immediately after arrival at the airport.
