In the arrivals area of Olbia Airport there is an Information Office where you can ask for assistance and information about flights and services, connections to and from the airport (bus, train, car rentals, taxi, etc.), tourist information about Sardinia and any other useful information.

To travel, all you need to do is present a valid form of identification, ID card or passport, at the check-in counters and security checkpoints.

If you lose your ID or Passport, please contact the police and your airline.

For domestic routes, a valid identity card is sufficient. To cross the internal borders of the EU, all Italian minors are required to present a valid form of identification (passport or, if the countries crossed recognise its validity, an identity card valid for foreign travel or another equivalent form of identification); to cross the external borders of the EU, and therefore go to countries that do not belong to the Schengen area, is required to present a valid passport.

Parents or people responsible for collecting unaccompanied minors are required to go to the arrivals area with an ID or Passport.


Any items considered dangerous to security are prohibited on board, such as scissors, razor blades, knives, nail files, umbrellas with a metal tip, syringes and other objects that can be used as a weapon. Besides, guns, firearms and tools that shoot bullets, stun devices, objects with a sharp point or sharp edge, tools, blunt instruments, explosives and incendiary substances and devices are not allowed.

Some of these items can still be carried inside the checked luggage.
The EU legislation about the transport of liquids also disposes to bring on board liquids for a maximum of 1 litre divided into units of 100 ml, placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag that has to be shown to the staff of the security checkpoints.
Regional arrangements also limit the transport of pork fitted with oval health mark accompanied by a proper certificate issued by the official veterinarian of the establishment where you purchased it. Food with without this certification can be carried only if they have been purchased at the "sterile areas" (beyond the security checks) of the airport.

Explosives and incendiary substances and devices are prohibited on board.

Weapons and ammunition may be transported only if accompanied by a permit issued by the competent authorities.
Regional arrangements also limit the transport of pork which is fitted with oval health mark accompanied by a certificate issued by the official veterinarian of the establishment where you purchased it. May be taken with food pork without this certification only if purchased at the "sterile areas" (beyond the security checks) of the airport.

It is forbidden to carry weapons unless they are accompanied by a proper permit issued by the competent authorities.

Medicines can be carried on board in accordance with regulations on liquids, according to the EU Regulation. 185/2010.

In the case of diabetic passengers under insulin treatment you have to bring a medical certificate and contact the airline before travelling.

The parking of Olbia Costa Smealda Airport is located right in front of the air terminal. Over 1,100 manned stalls are avaiable to customers.

Payment for the car park can be made at the automatic machines located at the entrance of the main car park or at the exit with the staff in charge, in cash or by credit card.

For cash withdrawals the ATMs are available in the departure area, as well as the arrivals. At the ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) it is possible to make drawings with all the national and international cash and credit card of the CIRRUS and MAESTRO money circulation.

No. The nearest post office is about 5 minute away by car from the terminal. Inside the airport there is a post box. Stamps available at the Olbia fly shop in the departure area.

No. At the Information Office, located in the arrival area, passengers can only print vouchers and boarding cards.

Connectivity is available throughout the airport. The service is completely free and can be activated without registration.

Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport has a dedicated box to cyclists within the P1 parking in front of the terminal. At the “Biker Point” there are a small bench equipped for bicycle maintenance and a library that provides the most interesting publications about Sardinia, with road maps and cycling guides.
